Current Projects
A central premise of the center is that social groups have common fundamental attributes that emerge from common generative rules operating across taxa and across biological levels. We combine our disciplinary expertise to examine the mechanisms underlying social behavior, from the genome to individual behavior, and from individuals to societies. Our goal is to capture the rule systems that account for the remarkably similar group-level properties found in social groups from insects through humans.
